Radiant faces, expressive songs, energetic choreographies, as well as quiet compositions in candlelight: all this is part of the programme of the Gospelchor am Münster.

The highlights of the choir history do not date back long: starting with the festival debut at the Bâloise Session (vocal backings for the American cult rock band Foreigner, November 2014) to the concert tour across South Africa (February 2015), and the participation in the rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar (Theater Basel, January to June 2016).
In Pondoland (South Africa), King Mabhena presented the choir with a “Royal Award” for intercultural commitment.

The Gospelchor am Münster unites enthusiastic, stage-experienced singers between 18 and 35. The choir presents a wide range of music from pop songs to folk or world music to modern spirituals and traditional gospels, enhanced by professional staging.

At the annual main concert (Gospelnacht), spirited gospel fans of every age from all over the tri-border region, fill the famous sight, the Münster (cathedral of Basel), to capacity. Meanwhile, the choir is involved regularly in concerts in all of Switzerland.

Conductor of the choir is Basle thoroughbred musician Oliver Rudin (Männerstimmen Basel, The Glue). Musical performer Daniel Raaflaub (Space Dream, Rent) is responsible for the staging. The percussion part is carried out by JJ Loew (Serafyn).
